EXAMPLE:

Installing a panel using a weld plate

Panel thickness: .045
Weld Plate thickness: .060
Total Thickness: .105

From the chart above using a 1-3/8" spring I can see I am going to need a .325 spring and .400 button. I could also use a .425 spring and .500 button.
